New Home Addition Leaves a Green Footprint
West Seattle Green Kitchen

A small home was built in West Seattle and left untouched for over 65 years. After living with the home’s inadequate living spaces, the owner decided to remodel her kitchen and add some much needed square footage. With an addition and an environmentally conscious mindset, this 700 sq. ft. home was transformed into an open and functional workspace replete with cooking and entertaining abilities. The owner now lives in a 3-Star Built Green home and enjoys living a sustainable lifestyle in her new space.

This project received a 2008 REX award for the kitchen remodel as well as the first ever “Green Remodel” award issued by the Building Industry Association of Washington.
